How to plant fortune tree seeds

Seed preparation

Now you can buy the seeds and fruits of the money tree through various channels. When purchasing, try to buy the fruit directly instead of the seeds.

This is because the seeds of the money tree go through many processes such as harvesting, storage, and transportation before being sold to you, so the freshness and integrity of the seeds cannot be guaranteed. It is very likely that the seeds you purchased are damaged and cannot germinate normally.

Start from the biological top of the fruit you bought and cut it lengthwise to reveal its seeds.

Wear gloves to remove the seeds from the fruit and use them for planting. It is best to bury the seeds immediately after they are taken out, because their seeds are not easy to preserve, and if they are not planted quickly, it will affect their germination.

Soil Preparation

Different plants require different substrates. Preparing the substrate according to the different habits of various plants can greatly improve the germination rate and achieve twice the result with half the effort.

It likes loose planting soil. Such a substrate can not only provide oxygen during the germination period of its seeds, which is conducive to germination, but also provide sufficient oxygen to the roots during its growth period, which is conducive to the growth of the root system.

It likes water-retaining planting soil. Such a substrate can not only provide moist conditions for germination during its seed germination period, but also provide sufficient water for physiological activities during its growth and even maturity period.

It likes nutrient-rich planting soil, which can provide it with enough nutrients to support its growth.

To sum up, we can choose sandy loam that meets the above conditions as its planting soil.

Planting method

We need to find a suitable flowerpot for planting first.

Pour the processed cultivation soil into the flowerpot and smooth the soil surface. At this time, be careful not to press too hard, and leave some gaps in the soil to allow the seeds to breathe.

Then place the seeds taken out of the fruit on the soil surface. Be as gentle as possible to prevent the seeds from being damaged during movement.

Then use a layer of planting soil to cover the seeds, with a thickness of 2cm.

Finally, don’t forget to pour some water into the flowerpot to provide the seeds with a suitable environment for germination.
