How to grow iris in winter

How to grow iris in winter

1. Features

The first thing is temperature. The temperature is low in winter. If you want the plants to survive the winter safely, the first thing you need to ensure is the temperature. For this plant, the temperature must not be lower than zero degrees Celsius. Then there is light, which is as important as temperature. Among all the seasons, light in winter has the greatest impact. As for water, although the plant likes a humid environment, it is not advisable to water it too much because it is winter. If you are worried that not watering it at all will harm the plant, you can water it appropriately.

2. Specific methods

(1) Temperature: When winter is approaching, we should move it indoors for maintenance. If conditions permit, the temperature can be kept between thirteen and eighteen degrees, so that it can not only survive the winter safely, but may even bloom.

(2) Light: Considering that the sunlight in winter is not particularly strong, there is no need for special shading measures even in the midday sun. Try to let the plant receive more light to accumulate more organic matter, which is of great significance for its wintering. Normally, we can place the plants in balconies, windowsills and other places where they can receive sunlight. We will find that in places with good light, the leaves of the plants will be very shiny and the colors of the flowers will be much brighter.

(3) Water: Do not water too much during this period. So, when we observe that the soil is in a very dry state, we can water it a little. If it blooms, water it a little more.
