How to water Tiger Pilan

How to water Tiger Pilan

1. The need for water

First of all, we should look at its place of origin to better understand its habits and characteristics. It is native to Africa, which is near the tropics, so we can infer that it has a relatively large demand for water and it likes to grow in a relatively humid environment.

2. Principles to be followed

When watering, we must follow some general principles. First, the amount of watering needs to be appropriate. It is better to let the soil be a little dry than to water it too much. Second, adjust the amount and frequency of watering according to weather conditions. As the temperature drops, reduce watering accordingly.

3. Specific methods

(1) First, in spring and summer, because the growth rate is relatively fast, in order to meet the vigorous needs of the plants, we need to water more and more frequently. Especially in the hot summer season, make sure the soil in the pot is slightly moist.

(2) In late autumn and even winter, the amount and frequency of watering should be gradually reduced. In the cold winter, you don’t need to water the plant anymore.

4. Notes

(1) We say that this plant likes moisture, but the more moist it is, the better. It should be at an appropriate level.

(2) In order to avoid excessive watering causing the soil in the pot to be too wet, we can choose soil with good drainage properties so that excess water can be drained out in time.

(3) In very hot summer, we can sprinkle some water on the leaves or in the air from time to time to replenish the part that evaporates.
