How to grow lily potted plants

How to grow lily potted plants

1. The characteristics of this plant

First of all, the temperature, it likes warmth. Therefore, the temperature should be controlled within the range of four to thirteen degrees, not too low. Otherwise, growth will be very slow. However, the temperature cannot be too high, otherwise it will affect the flowers.

Then there is water. Generally speaking, it likes a relatively dry environment and should not have too much water.

There is also light. It is important to note that the need for it is different at different times. We will talk about this later.

Then there is the soil quality. Since we are talking about potted plants, the choice of soil is more important. In addition to basic requirements such as drainage and high nutrient content, acidity and viscosity also need to be considered. For this plant, it prefers slightly acidic but not heavy clay soil.

2. Specific methods

(1) Temperature: Especially when the plants are first planted, the temperature must be kept within an appropriate range. Afterwards, for its growth, the temperature can be increased appropriately to increase its growth rate.

(2) Watering: Generally speaking, keep the soil relatively dry. However, during its vigorous growth stage and when the weather is dry, you can still water it more. However, always be careful not to overwater, so that it does not cause serious harm to the plants.

(3) Light: If the plant is in the budding stage, we need to provide it with appropriate shade. However, when it is in other stages, it requires more light. Then, we should increase the time it receives light accordingly.

(4) Soil: We have already mentioned the specific requirements above. Taking all these factors into consideration, we can choose to mix leaf mold, garden soil and sandy soil evenly as the cultivation soil.
