Choose a larger flowerpot, fill it with loose and breathable garden soil or sandy loam, water it thoroughly, sprinkle the seeds in the soil, and then sprinkle a layer of dry soil on the top.

Place the flower pot in a ventilated and diffused light place for maintenance. When new buds and leaves grow, apply a thin layer of compound fertilizer once a month.

4. Melon vine management

After the melon vines grow long, they need to be topped and pinched, leaving the main vine and removing all other side vines to prevent them from growing leaves without bearing fruit. During maintenance, the vines should be straightened out and directed in one direction, or coiled around bamboo poles or ropes so that the seedlings can grow upward.

5. Pollination results

After the watermelon blooms, apply the pollen from the male flowers that bloomed that day to the stigma of the female flowers. Pollination is necessary, otherwise no fruit will be produced! After pollination, water the plants sufficiently and apply potassium fertilizer regularly. After more than a month of pollination, you can harvest watermelons!
