Ryegrass planting method

1. Site selection

When planting ryegrass, choose loose, fertile soil with good drainage. Before sowing, the soil should be turned over to make it finer and appropriate base fertilizer should be applied.

2. Sowing

Sowing is generally carried out in spring or autumn. It is best to soak the seeds in warm water for one day before sowing to increase the germination rate. The most common method of sowing is row sowing. After sowing, just cover with a layer of soil and water thoroughly. If the weather is dry or the soil is dry, water it appropriately.

3. Management

During the growth period of ryegrass seedlings, weeds should be cleaned up in time and the soil should be loosened appropriately. In addition, appropriate fertilizer should be applied, and it is best to apply fertilizer after harvesting to avoid burning the grass stubble.

4. Harvest

Mow the grass about 50 days after sowing, and harvest it regardless of whether the grass is growing strong or weak. Thereafter, harvesting will be carried out every 20-30 days.
