1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: The soil requirements for growing windmill grass are not high. It is best to use fertile soil with good water retention.

2. Water: It likes a humid growing environment. During the growth period, it is necessary to water it appropriately to keep the soil moist. In winter, water sparingly and keep it exposed to sunlight.

3. Temperature: Provide it with a growth environment of 15-25℃. It is not cold-resistant, and the temperature should not be too low in winter. It is best to keep the temperature at around 5-10℃.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Propagation by division: Division is usually carried out when repotting in April and May. Cut the old plants with tools and plant them separately.

2. Seed propagation: Sow the seeds into the culture soil in March and April, cover them with soil and water them appropriately. Cover it with a layer of glass and provide it with a growing environment of 20-25℃. It will germinate in about 10-20 days.

3. Propagation by cuttings: Cuttings can be carried out throughout the year. Cut 3-5 cm strong terminal buds, trim them appropriately and insert them into the sand bed. A moist and humid growing environment is enough.

3. Common pests and diseases

Windmill grass is not prone to diseases and pests, but it may be infested with pests in areas with poor ventilation. You can use trichlorodicol or dicofol to spray.
