How to grow hyacinth in soil

How to grow hyacinth in soil

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: Choose loose, well-drained sandy soil. You can choose garden soil, humus soil and fine sand and mix them evenly to form a composite soil.

2. Temperature: It likes coolness and avoids high temperature, so it can grow well in the range of 8-18℃. Note that during the growth process, the temperature cannot be lower than 0℃.

3. Light: It needs sufficient light to grow, and should receive no less than 4 hours of light per day. Be careful not to expose it to strong light.

4. Water: It likes a slightly moist soil environment and is relatively drought-resistant. Therefore, when watering, you can water when the soil is dry, and it is not advisable to water too much.

2. Planting Method

1. Bulb treatment: Before planting, choose a disinfectant such as Bordeaux mixture and mix it into a 1:1000 solution. Peel off the outer skin of the bulbs after dividing, clean the mold spots inside, then soak the bulbs in disinfectant for half an hour, take them out and dry them.

2. Planting process: Use a flowerpot with a diameter of 8-10cm to plant one plant, and a large pot with a diameter of about 20cm to plant 3-4 plants. Bury the bulb in the soil with the tip slightly exposed.

3. Rooting and germination: It will take root in a cool and ventilated place for about 14 days. During the rooting period, you can cover it with cardboard or other materials to block out the light. After rooting, you can remove it and place it in a sunny place to grow.
