Can the money tree also sow seeds? One branch for each fruit, so many that the balcony can’t accommodate them all!

Planting money trees, seedlings are healthier

The money tree we usually take care of is called the Fortune Tree. If you are a flower lover in the south, especially in Guangdong, then you have a treat. You can just go to the park for a stroll and bring back some seeds to plant.

It is best to sow the seeds we harvest as soon as possible, because the germination rate of old seeds will be greatly reduced~

After receiving the seeds, you must first remove the peel wrapping the seeds, then soak the seeds in clean water to germinate. When the skin cracks to reveal white and small sprouts emerge, you can sow them!

Prepare loose and breathable soil, sow the seeds on the soil surface, cover with a thin layer of soil, water them enough, and they will germinate in 3 to 5 days.

After its seeds break through the soil, the cotyledons are wrinkled and ugly, which is a normal phenomenon. When the true leaves grow out, it will be the money tree you are familiar with!

The survival rate of money tree cuttings is higher

The base of the money tree we grow by seeds will swell, but if it is propagated by cuttings, the base will not swell and can also be woven, so the survival rate is very high.

Cuttings are usually done in spring and autumn. Cut strong branches about 15 cm long. It is better to choose two-year-old branches. Keep the compound leaves on the top, insert them about 5 cm into the soil, and water them thoroughly.

After cutting, keep the room temperature at around 20~25℃ and maintain a high air humidity. When the temperature is lower, you can cover it with a layer of plastic film to achieve the effect of heat preservation and moisture retention.

If the environment is suitable, it will take root in half a month.

How to grow a small fortune tree, the leaves will be green

1. Lighting

When we usually maintain the fortune tree, we must pay attention to giving it sufficient light. However, the small fortune tree still has a high shade tolerance. It can be placed in a place with weak light to appreciate for a period of time, but it must be moved to a place with good light after about 1 month~

In addition, when we are caring for a small money tree, we must pay attention to rotating the pot, otherwise the leaves on the side facing the sun will grow faster and stronger, and the branches and leaves will also shift towards the sun!

2. Watering

In terms of watering, it can be said that sufficient water must be ensured during the growing period, but waterlogging is very taboo, so it is best for us to wait until the soil in the pot is dry before watering, so as to avoid waterlogging and root rot.
