Can lilies be grown in winter? Do this to spend the winter safely

The flower market is at its busiest time. However, after these few days, winter is coming and how the flowers will survive the winter becomes a problem. Recently, my aunt bought a potted lily. Considering the arrival of winter, she called Huahua to her house and told her how to care for the lily potted plant in winter.

After Huahua finished talking to her aunt, she didn’t forget about you, so she quickly wrote it down to share with everyone!

First of all, Huahua wants to tell you that it only takes about 70 days for lilies to germinate and bloom. This is why many people buy and sell lilies even when they are not in season.

Generally speaking, if you start growing lilies in April, they will bloom once in June. When summer comes and the weather gets hotter, lilies will enter a dormant period and stay dormant for a while. As time goes by, the temperature starts to drop a little bit. At this time, all we have to do is make sure the soil is slightly moist. If we cultivate it carefully, the lilies will grow in the spring of the second year.

So how do you grow lilies in winter? In winter, lilies will enter a dormant period like other plants. If we grow lilies in autumn, it is best to let them bloom before the temperature becomes colder, so as not to affect the growth trajectory of the lilies.

If the lily cannot bloom before winter, you can only place it in a sunny place, and it is best to ensure that the surrounding temperature allows the lily to survive. If you don't want your lilies to bloom out of season, you can also place them in an environment below 10 degrees Celsius to prevent them from sprouting.

If you want the lilies to bloom during the Spring Festival, it is best to calculate the date in advance. Doing so can make the Spring Festival more festive!

For lilies, the optimal temperature cannot be lower than 10 degrees Celsius or higher than 30 degrees Celsius, otherwise the lilies will enter dormancy. Lilies generally enter a dormant stage in winter, so we just need to make sure the soil of the lilies is slightly moist.

Another situation is that if the lily has begun to sprout in winter but has not yet bloomed, the lily will basically not bloom at this time. Huahua wants to remind everyone that no matter what, the most important thing is to stay safe during the winter~

Finally, I hope everyone can grow lilies that satisfy them!
