How to plant Ranunculus

How to plant Ranunculus

1. Choose the right potting soil

When its seedlings grow 3 to 4 true leaves, we can start transplanting it. Prepare the potting soil before planting. The size of the pot can be determined according to the size of the plant. Loose and fertile acidic soil is best. You can choose to use a mixture of garden soil, sandy soil, etc.

2. Choose the right time for planting

Before planting, you must choose the right time. Usually the best time is from December to January of the following year.

3. Planting

First, dig up the seedlings. When digging up the seedlings, try not to bring soil with them, and remove the weaker seedlings with shorter petioles and thicker leaves. Then you can plant the seedlings in the potting soil, paying attention to the appropriate spacing between plants. In addition, do not plant the seedlings too deep, otherwise it may hinder its growth.

4. Maintenance after planting

After planting, subsequent maintenance is also very important. First of all, the soil should be kept moist and watered regularly, but water should not be allowed to accumulate in the pot, otherwise the roots will rot. Then the lighting needs to be appropriate. It is afraid of strong light, so place it in a cool place as much as possible, and keep the temperature around 20 degrees during the day and around 7 to 10 degrees at night to meet its growth needs. Then, when it reaches its peak growth period, you should apply an appropriate amount of fertilizer to provide it with sufficient nutrients, so that it will grow into a new plant in a short time.
