How to grow pansies in autumn

How to grow pansies in autumn

1. Suitable temperature

For pansies, the best growth temperature is 15-25℃. Do not exceed 30℃, otherwise it will affect the normal growth process. If the temperature is too high, proper ventilation is required. However, the above refers to the temperature suitable for it during the day. It is different at night, and it is better to keep it at 3-5℃.

2. Adequate lighting

Good light is necessary in autumn, and sufficient light time is required to ensure good growth. Generally speaking, it is best to provide no less than four hours of light per day. The best time for lighting is in the morning or afternoon, and strong light at noon should also be avoided.

3. Appropriate moisture

At the beginning of autumn, make sure the soil is moist. Especially when the temperature is high and the light conditions are good, the amount of watering should be more appropriate. However, make sure there is no water accumulation in the basin. However, as the temperature drops, the amount of watering should be gradually reduced. In late autumn, the soil should be kept relatively dry.

4. Appropriate amount of fertilizer

It has a certain demand for fertilizer in the fall. Generally speaking, fertilizer can be applied once every ten days to half a month, and it is best to use decomposed liquid fertilizer. However, be sure to dilute it before use to prevent concentrated fertilizer from damaging its roots.
