Can I water the rose when it is blooming?

Watering rose flowers

The flowering period of roses lasts for more than 200 days. During this period, the plants must be watered, otherwise the plants will dry out and die. However, you need to wait until the surface of the soil turns white before watering. Just follow the principle of not watering unless the soil is dry. Be careful not to let precipitation fall on the flower buds.

Watering method during rose flowering period

When watering roses during the flowering period, follow the principle of "intermittent watering". Each time you water, water thoroughly to allow the water to fully penetrate the roots, but do not allow water to accumulate. If you use tap water, make sure it is dried before use.

1. Watering in the morning: Early morning is the best time to water roses. Even if the leaves are accidentally wet when watering in the morning, they can be dried in the sun in time to prevent black spot disease.

2. Watering at night: Generally, you need to water the rose once at night. Just keep the soil slightly moist and do not allow water to accumulate due to spraying.

Rose flowering period maintenance and watering

1. In early spring, roses will revive and turn green for the first time. At this time, do not water them too frequently. Just keep the soil slightly moist, which is conducive to germination and jointing.

2. Before the rose blooms, you can increase the frequency of watering appropriately and keep the soil moist at all times so that the flowers are not easy to wither.

Fertilization during rose flowering period

During the rose flowering period, you can apply appropriate amount of fertilizer, just apply some balanced compound fertilizer as usual. This can promote the germination of new flower buds and encourage the flowers to bloom early. It can be used once every 20 days or so.
