What are the cultivation methods and precautions of color-changing wood?

Cultivation method of chamomile

The variegated wood is an evergreen shrub of the Euphorbiaceae family. It is propagated by cuttings. The variegated wood likes warmth, humidity and plenty of light. It is suitable for growing in loam rich in organic matter and with strong water retention. The most suitable growth temperature is generally around 20-30 degrees.

The chamomile tree prefers light. Only if there is sufficient light during the growing period can it grow normally. However, it cannot be kept under direct light. You can place it indoors in a place with scattered light. If the light is not enough, the color of the leaves will become dull and even spots will appear.

Watering method

The watering of the chamomile tree depends on the weather conditions. Generally, it needs a lot of water in summer, so it should be watered frequently. When watering, follow the principle of "better to keep it wet than dry". You can also spray water on the surrounding ground to increase the humidity.

Fertilization method

Generally, chamomile should be fertilized with decomposed liquid fertilizer once every 15 days. Do not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer, as it will cause the leaves to lose their luster. It is best not to fertilize in late autumn to avoid the growth of new shoots.

Pruning methods

When managing the chamomile, if you find yellow leaves or diseased branches, you should cut them off in time to save nutrients and avoid infection.

Matters Needing Attention in the Cultivation of Color-changing Wood

During the maintenance process, the chamomile is more likely to attract insects, so you should pay attention to spraying pesticides and not let the insects stay on the plants for a long time. In addition, when repotting, you must combine it with root pruning, so that it can better absorb water and nutrients in the later stage, which is beneficial to growth.

The chamomile tree needs to take timely warming measures in winter. Once the temperature is below 13 degrees, it will affect its growth. If the ambient temperature is below 10 degrees for a long time, the color of the plant's leaves will become dull.
