Colorful arrowroot cultivation method

The colorful arrowroot belongs to the Marantaceae family. When it is propagated, it is generally propagated by division. It prefers a high temperature growing environment.

1. Soil

When planting colorful arrowroot, loose and fertile soil is generally used for planting, or a mixture of leaf mold and sandy soil can be used.

2. Temperature

The colorful arrowroot prefers a warm growing environment and has poor cold resistance, so when caring for it, the temperature needs to be kept between 18-25 degrees. In winter, the temperature cannot be lower than 15 degrees.

3. Lighting

When caring for the colorful arrowroot, it needs proper light, but avoid strong light, otherwise it will cause the leaves to fade, and in severe cases it will cause sunburn.

4. Watering

The colorful arrowroot prefers a humid growing environment, so it needs sufficient water during maintenance to ensure the moistness of the soil. When the air is relatively dry, it is necessary to spray water on the leaves appropriately to maintain a relatively high humidity.

5. Fertilization

When planting the colorful arrowroot, sufficient base fertilizer needs to be applied. During the growth period, fertilizer needs to be applied once every half a month. Compound liquid fertilizer can be used to promote its rapid growth.

6. Pruning

The colorful arrowroot needs to be pruned regularly during maintenance. It is a plant with a strong ornamental type. Proper pruning can make its shape more beautiful, and cutting off some thin branches can allow it to grow better.

Precautions for the cultivation of colorful arrowroot

When caring for the colorful arrowroot, you need to pay attention to the fact that there must be a good ventilation environment during the maintenance period. If it is kept in a closed environment for a long time, a large number of diseases and pests will arise. It also needs sufficient sunlight, but it needs appropriate shade in the summer.
