How long is the growing period of rapeseed?

The growing period of rapeseed is generally about 45 to 60 days. Generally, rapeseed is divided into two varieties: early-maturing and late-maturing. The growth cycle of early-maturing rapeseed is generally about 40 days, while the growth cycle of late-maturing rapeseed is longer, about 60 days.

There are three stages of growth and development of rapeseed, namely the seedling stage, flowering stage and maturity stage. Early-maturing rapeseed is planted around January each year and matures after February. Late-maturing rapeseed is sown in February and matures around April.

The growth process of rapeseed

1. Seedling stage

During the seedling stage, rapeseed grows relatively slowly, and it is generally necessary to control the temperature of its growing environment at this time.

2. Flowering period

The flowering period is relatively long. Generally, if the growing environment is suitable, it can bloom for half a month.

3. Maturity

Generally, rapeseed can be harvested at maturity, when both vegetative and reproductive growth are gradually completed.

Rapeseed growth period maintenance and management

1. Maintenance during the seedling stage: Generally, the seedlings need to be watered more frequently and exposed to the sun every day, but it is not suitable for direct exposure to the sun, otherwise it will affect the development of the seedlings.

2. Maintenance during the flowering period: No fertilizer is allowed during the flowering period. You only need to control the temperature around it to not be lower than 10 degrees Celsius.

3. Maintenance during the maturity period: Pay attention to timely watering during the maturity period. If the soil is too dry, it will affect its yield.
