Soybean growth environment and conditions

Soybeans are grown in a wide range, except in areas with high latitudes, high altitudes, annual precipitation below 250 mm, and no irrigation conditions. They are generally grown in the Northeast Plain, the Huanghuai Plain, the Yangtze River Delta and the Jianghan Plain.

Soybean Growing Conditions

Soybeans prefer a warm environment. The temperature for seed germination is 10-12 degrees, 15-20 degrees is the most suitable, and the suitable growth temperature is between 20-25 degrees. It has high requirements for water, likes moisture but is not tolerant to waterlogging. It is suitable for planting in loose, fertile, organic-rich soil.

The growth process of soybeans

The flowering period of soybeans is from the beginning of flowering to the withering of flowers, and the podding period is from the appearance of small pods to the formation of young pods. These two periods are collectively called the flowering and podding period. After the ovules of the plant are fertilized, the ovary gradually swells and green young pods appear. When the pods are 1 cm long, it is called podding. The flowering and podding period has a great demand for water and nutrients, and fertilizer and water management should be strengthened to achieve high yields.

Soybean planting time

The time of soybean planting is related to the planting site and climate. The planting time in different regions will differ by 30-60 days. The best planting time is June every year, but the northern part of my country will plant earlier, generally in April-May, and the southern part in May-June. There is also a new variety called August yellow, which is soybean that is planted in August, so it is called August yellow.
