What soil is suitable for growing crabapples?

Soil for Begonia

Begonia is a plant of the Rosaceae family and an ornamental tree species. It is planted in various parts of China and is mostly used for urban greening and ornamental flowers and trees. Generally, Begonia has low requirements for soil and is suitable for planting in loose, fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil rich in organic matter.

What soil should be used to plant crabapples

The requirement of Begonia for soil is good drainage and air permeability. Slightly acidic soil is more suitable for its growth. The soil can be prepared with garden soil + vermiculite + base fertilizer + river sand. Add a layer of vermiculite to the bottom of the flowerpot and mix it. After potting, it needs to be watered thoroughly once, and water seeps out from the drainage port at the bottom.

1. River sand: River sand has very good drainage and air permeability. If you add some heavy clay soil in an appropriate amount, it can improve the physical structure of the matrix. However, it has no fertility. When preparing the soil, you need to add organic fertilizer. When sea sand is used as culture soil, you need to add fresh water to avoid excessive salt content that affects growth.

2. Garden soil, also known as vegetable garden soil or farmland soil, is rich in nutrients, but the soil is easy to become compacted and has poor drainage, so it is not suitable to be used alone.

Preparation of Begonia Nutrient Soil

Preparation of nutrient soil for Begonia: garden soil, decomposed leaves and corn stalks, mountain mud, potassium nitrate, glycine, sodium borate, and folic acid. The preparation can meet the nutrient needs of Begonia during its growth, but it needs to be exposed to the sun and disinfected before use.
