Introduction to Tea

Tea leaves are the leaves and buds that grow on the evergreen shrub tea tree. They can be used to make tea. In Chinese literature, they are also called Lei Ya. Tea leaves are also known as tea, Qi, Ming, and Cha.

Tea is divided into different varieties according to different standards. According to the tea-making process, it can be divided into black tea, dark tea, green tea, white tea, yellow tea, and oolong tea. According to the season, it can be divided into spring tea, summer tea, autumn tea, and winter tea.

Tea Planting Conditions

Tea prefers a warm and humid environment, with abundant and even rainfall. It has a strong adaptability to the environment and is suitable for planting in loose, well-drained, humus-rich soil.

Climate in tea-growing regions

The subtropical monsoon climate and tropical monsoon climate can relatively meet the growth of tea. When the average day and night temperature is stable at above 10 degrees, the tea buds begin to sprout. During the growing season, the monthly average temperature should be above 18 degrees, and the most suitable growth temperature is 20-27 degrees. The annual accumulated temperature suitable for growth needs to be above 4000 degrees.

Suitable areas for tea cultivation

Tea has a wide adaptability to soil and can grow on red soil, yellow soil, sandy loam, and brown forest soil. The soil structure requires areas with good water retention and water permeability, a slope of less than 30 degrees, and an altitude of less than 1,500 meters. It is mainly distributed in subtropical and tropical regions. In my country, it is mainly planted in mountainous and river areas.

Tea Planting Time

Tea is suitable for planting in spring. If the ground temperature is above 19, it can be sown. It is best to plant it in a season with abundant rainfall, which can keep the soil moist and help it germinate faster.

Benefits of Tea Planting

The investment per mu of tea is only 584.5 yuan, including the management fee of the tea garden and the fertilizer fee. If calculated based on ten mu of tea, the annual cost is only five to six thousand yuan. Now the price of processed tea in the market is 20 yuan per catty. After deducting the cost, you can make at least seven to eight thousand yuan. After exquisite packaging, you can easily make tens of thousands of yuan, which is still a considerable profit.
