Introduction to Buckwheat Growth

Buckwheat is native to my country. It has strong adaptability and can be grown in Europe, Asia and America. In my country, it is mainly distributed in Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Shanxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, and Guizhou, followed by Tibet, Qinghai, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Beijing, Chongqing, Hunan, Hubei and other regions.

Buckwheat growth rate

Buckwheat has a short growing period and grows fast. It only takes seventy to ninety days from sowing to harvesting. Early-maturing varieties can be harvested in more than fifty days. It is usually sown at the beginning of autumn each year. It likes a cool and humid climate, is not resistant to high temperatures, is afraid of frost, likes sunshine, and requires more water.

Buckwheat growth cycle management

Buckwheat's growth cycle is relatively short. Under different growing environments and management conditions, its yield per mu in the country is approximately 300-400 kilograms per mu.

Temperature management : The temperature of buckwheat during its growth period should not be too high or too low. Its seeds can generally germinate within 4-5 days at a temperature above 16°C. The temperature and humidity of the soil must be controlled during the growth period of buckwheat.

Fertilization management : Buckwheat has a relatively short growth cycle and grows fast, so it has high requirements for fertility. It is a crop that requires more fertilizer. It has the greatest demand for potassium fertilizer, followed by phosphorus fertilizer and ammonia fertilizer. Different growth stages have different emphases on fertility and fertilizer types.
