Can the scaly grape be planted in pots?

The vine can be potted, and the method is also very simple. Before planting, soak the seeds in warm water to accelerate germination, so that they can germinate faster. The potting soil should be soft and breathable. After preparation, bury the seeds directly in the soil, about one or two centimeters deep. It can be said that both ground planting and potted planting have their own advantages.

When you start planting potted grapes, you only need a 20*30cm pot. It doesn’t need to be too big. When it grows a little bigger, you can change to a slightly larger pot. When it gets even bigger, you can consider transplanting it to the ground. The grapes planted that year can bloom and bear fruit in the same year.

Potted cultivation method of serrata grape

1. Soil preparation

The adaptability of grapes to a wide range of soils is very wide. When potted, you can use ordinary soil, or you can prepare nutrient soil for it. When preparing nutrient soil, add some coal slag, iron filings, etc. as fertilizers to increase nutrients.

2. Pruning

After potting the grape seedlings, they need to be pruned first. After the new shoots sprout, they need to be observed first. Those without inflorescences are nutrient branches, and those with inflorescences are fruiting branches. If inflorescences appear, leave 3-5 leaves on the inflorescences and pinch off the top.

3. Watering

It needs a lot of water during its growing period, and the soil needs to be kept moist for a long time. The temperature in summer is relatively high, so it is best to water it every other day. During the non-growing period, water needs to be controlled, and watering it once or twice a week is sufficient.

4. Fertilization

Before planting, you need to mix the soil with base fertilizer. You can choose decomposed manure for base fertilizer. When applying top dressing, you should choose human and animal manure and urine. The frequency of fertilization is once a week. After the flowering period, in order to promote fruit growth, you can increase the fertilizer concentration. During the peak fruit-bearing period, you should use a comprehensive compound fertilizer.

5. Temperature

When Lai grape seeds germinate, a relatively high temperature is required for the seeds to germinate, and this temperature range is between thirty degrees and thirty-five degrees; during the seedling stage, the temperature should be controlled between twenty degrees and twenty-five degrees. Below fifteen degrees, the plant's growth rate will slow down, and below ten degrees, the plant will be stunted.
