What kind of soil is suitable for growing spider plants?

Soil for Chlorophytum

Chlorophytum can grow in neutral to alkaline soil, but the best growing environment is acidic soil. When planting, it is suitable to use sandy soil mixed with humus. If some perlite or gravel is added, the effect will be better. When transplanting, you can use newly turned black soil to avoid damaging the roots.

Chlorophytum can be grown in ordinary soil. The fertility of the soil is not high for Chlorophytum. If specially prepared nutrient soil is used, there will be better planting results and the survival rate will be higher.

Chlorophytum soil preparation method

1. Nutrient soil

When preparing the nutrient soil for spider plants, the most important thing is to increase the hydrophobicity of the soil. You can add larger particles such as gravel, peat soil, and perlite to the original base soil.

2. Planting of Chlorophytum

When planting spider plants, special attention should be paid to adding humus to the base soil. It must be fermented to avoid the soil absorbing water from the plants when the concentration is too high, causing the plants to lose water and die.

Changing the soil for the Chlorophytum potted plant

1. Change the soil in the flower pot: put sandy soil or base soil mixed with slag that is hydrophobic and breathable in the pot.

2. Planting and watering: Plant the spider plant in a flowerpot, cover it with soil, add fermented humus, and water it with a certain amount of water.
