How many years does it take for the peace tree to bear fruit?

Introduction to Planting Peace Trees

The peace lily likes a warm, humid environment with plenty of sunshine. It is relatively shade-tolerant and prefers warm, frost-free, foggy and high-temperature places. It is not tolerant to drought, waterlogging, severe cold and dry air. It can adapt to the light environment and can be planted all year round. The seeds germinate 20-30 days after sowing. It is distributed in southern Taiwan, China.

The peace tree has been planted for several years and has produced fruit

The peace lily rarely blooms. If planted in tropical areas, it will bloom in about 3-4 years. The flowering period is May and the fruiting time is August-September.

The peace lily likes sunlight and needs to be provided with sufficient light at ordinary times. When the sunlight is strong, it is necessary to provide shade. When watering, it depends on the soil conditions. Just keep the soil in the pot slightly dry. If the air is dry, spray water appropriately to keep it moist. Add liquid fertilizer once every 10 days during the growing season, and add phosphorus fertilizer after autumn.

Why doesn't the peace tree bear fruit?

The reason why the peace lily does not bear fruit may be due to natural disasters, such as frost damage during or before flowering. In addition, insufficient nutrition was provided during maintenance, resulting in malnutrition and incomplete development of flower buds, which causes the pistil to degenerate and make it difficult to bear fruit.

Key points for planting peace trees

1. Top dressing: The principle of fertilizing the peace lily is to apply thin fertilizers frequently. Apply a ternary compound fertilizer solution 14 days after transplantation, and then gradually increase the concentration. When the temperature is 15-25℃, top dressing is applied once a month. When the temperature is 26-35℃, top dressing is applied every half month. Control the fertilization in late November, spray potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution once every 5 days, and spray 3 times in a row.

2. Shaping and pruning: The peace lily needs to be pruned during its growth period. Diseased and insect-infested branches, dead branches, crossed branches, and weak branches should be cut off in time to reduce the loss of nutrients. The crown of the peace lily will be naturally oval, the plant shape will be neat and plump, and the ornamental value will be improved.
