How to prune the branches and leaves of succulent plants

When pruning succulents, you must first determine the plant shape, then remove dead and diseased branches, cut off overlapping branches, crossed branches, and unnecessary branches, and pinch off the top to encourage it to branch more and grow better.

Pruning makes growth fast: If succulents have dead leaves or diseased leaves, they should be cleaned up in time, and old leaves should be pulled out regularly. If dead leaves appear at the bottom, do not leave them on the branches for too long, otherwise pests will easily breed.

Precautions for pruning succulent plants

If the trunk or branches of succulents are too thick when cut, a stake of about one centimeter should be left at the cut. If the trunk layering method is adopted, some wooden stakes should be nailed on the ground around the succulents to increase the crown width of the plant, making it look more majestic and beautiful.
