What are the cultivation methods and precautions of green radish?

Growth habits of green radish

Green ivy likes a dark and humid environment, has high requirements for water and temperature, likes warmth and is not cold-resistant. The temperature in winter is low and requires good temperature control, especially in the cold northern regions.

The green radish also has high requirements for air humidity and does not like dry environments. If the environment provided is suitable, it can grow all year round and the growth rate is relatively fast.

How to grow green radish

Flower pot: The diameter of the flower pot is about sixteen centimeters. Prepare a tray and place it under the flower pot. Fill the tray with water to ensure that the soil in the pot is always moist and the roots will grow faster.

Soil: The best soil is coconut coir plus perlite. If there is no perlite, vermiculite or large sand can be used instead. Coconut coir alone is not effective. In fact, the most ordinary garden soil can also allow the plant to survive, but not as fast as the previous ones.

Fertilization: Any fertilizer can be used as long as it is not too concentrated, such as rice water, cake fertilizer water, beer water, etc. that you ferment yourself. Adding some of it when watering can promote vigorous growth of the plant.

Watering: When watering the green radish, you should follow the principle of watering when the soil is dry and watering when the soil is wet. In the winter when the temperature is low, it is better to keep the soil in the pot slightly dry. When the air is too dry, you can sprinkle more water around the pot to increase the humidity.

Precautions for growing green radish

The green ivy is a plant that likes semi-shade. It can grow indoors without sunlight for a long time. It should be prevented from strong sunlight exposure in summer. In other growing seasons, it is also okay to occasionally allow it to receive some scattered light. This can enhance photosynthesis, produce more chlorophyll, and make the leaves more dark green and bright.
