Sesame is mainly divided into summer sesame and autumn sesame. The planting time of summer sesame is around May and June, while the best sowing time of autumn sesame is in early and mid-July. If the temperature is more suitable, it can also be delayed to late July. It prefers a high temperature growing environment.

Sesame Planting Methods

1. Land preparation and ridge making: Before sowing sesame, the land needs to be prepared to conserve soil moisture. If the soil has more moisture, fine harrowing can be done after plowing.

2. Sowing method: When sowing sesame, broadcasting is generally used. It needs to be spread evenly and the covering soil should be shallow so that the seedlings emerge faster. However, the density must be reasonable.

3. Field management: After sowing, sesame needs to be chemically weeded and thinned out appropriately, which is more conducive to branching, and the top buds must be removed in time.

Precautions for planting sesame

1. When sesame is growing, because its seeds are relatively small, and if too much nitrogen fertilizer is applied, it is easy for the seedlings to grow vigorously, so it is necessary to apply fertilizer reasonably, preferably diluted and decomposed fertilizer.

2. Sesame has relatively high requirements for temperature, so during the maintenance period, you must avoid low temperature environment. It is best to keep the temperature above 25 degrees, which is more conducive to the growth of the plant.
