Planting time and method of late beans

Late bean planting time

The most suitable time to plant late beans is from August to September each year. When planting, the temperature needs to be kept at around 20 degrees, and more cold-resistant varieties should be used. Because the climate at this time will gradually drop, so insulation measures must be taken after sowing.

How to plant beans

1. Site selection and fertilization: When planting late beans, it is best to choose fertile, loose, well-drained sandy loam, which is more conducive to germination. Before sowing, the soil needs to be deeply plowed and an appropriate amount of farmyard manure should be added.

2. Control water and fertilizer: Late beans do not need much fertilizer during the seedling stage, so you need to reduce fertilization during this period, otherwise it will cause the stems and leaves of the plants to grow too long. When it is in the pod-forming period, you can increase water and fertilizer.

3. Regular pruning: When caring for late beans, they need to be pruned regularly, especially when they grow to 2 meters. The leaves at the top of the main vine need to be cut off to control the planting height and promote the growth of side branches.

Things to note when planting beans

When planting late beans, a suitable temperature environment is needed, especially in the seedling stage. It is best to keep the temperature between 20-32 degrees, so as to increase its survival rate. During the maintenance period, there must also be sufficient sunlight and a good ventilation environment.
