How to reproduce corn naturally

Corn breeding method

Corn is propagated through seeds, which is sowing propagation. The seeds have strong adaptability and are suitable for spring and autumn. The survival rate after planting is relatively high and it is easy to manage.

However, if you want it to have a higher yield, you need to pay attention to the later cultivation and management. Only when the environment is suitable can it grow stronger and produce better results and increase yield.

Corn sowing and propagation method

1. Arrange the land

Before sowing corn, the land must be prepared first. There should be no large clods of soil or stones in the land. The soil must be deeply plowed first to make it looser so that the seeds can germinate better and faster. Base fertilizer should also be applied. It is best to use well-rotted farmyard manure. This will increase soil fertility and is beneficial to later growth results.

2. Select and buy seeds

When purchasing corn seeds, you should select them according to the plot and cultivation area. Choose seeds with full grains and strong disease resistance. Such seeds will germinate better. It is best to have full grains and uniform size. After selection, you must mix the seeds once with a fungicide and insecticide. This can avoid infection with diseases and pests in the later stage and is beneficial to growth.

3. Planting seeds in the soil

After the land is prepared and the seeds are processed, they can be sown. The hole sowing method can be used. Control the plant spacing and plant two or three seeds in each hole. Cover the soil and compact it appropriately after planting. Be careful not to bury the seeds too deep in the soil. About three to five centimeters will be enough. Seedlings will emerge soon. In the later stage, pay attention to frequent watering to keep moisture, timely weeding, and topdressing to promote more vigorous growth.
