When and how to repot the green radish

Time to repot the green radish

It is recommended to repot the green radish between the Beginning of Spring and the Waking of Insects solar terms. The climate is relatively mild and suitable at this time, so repotting will have less impact on the plant, and it will be beneficial to its growth. In fact, as long as the method is correct, repotting at other times is also possible.

Methods and steps for repotting green radish

1. Depotting : It is recommended to cut off water three days before depotting. When depotting, first use a small shovel to draw a circle along the inner wall of the pot, or tap the outer wall of the pot to make the potting soil easier to separate. Then turn the pot upside down, hold the rhizome, and take it out carefully.

2. Prune the roots : After digging out the plant, shake off the soil around the roots to expose most of the plant's roots. Then cut off rotten roots, old roots and excess fibrous roots. Use carbendazim solution to disinfect and sterilize, and finally dry the roots.

3. Prepare the potting soil : Prepare a larger flowerpot with good air permeability. The soil should be soft, fertile and well-drained. It should be special soil for green radish. Then disinfect the potting soil.

4. Plant in the pot : Place the plant in the middle of the prepared soil, fill the soil after the roots are expanded, compact the soil lightly, spray water appropriately, and finally place it in a cool place.

Maintenance of green radish after repotting

After repotting the green radish, place it in a place with sufficient diffuse light, spray water on the leaves once every 1-2 days, and maintain a good environmental humidity. It will take at most half a month after repotting for the plant to acclimate, and at the shortest a week, and then you can water and maintain it normally.
