Soybean planting and harvesting time

Soybean planting and harvesting time

Soybean planting time

There are three best planting times for soybeans. The first is in spring from March to April, the second is in May to June after the wheat harvest, and the third is also in September to October.

Soybean harvest time

The harvesting time of soybeans will be different depending on the planting time. If planted in spring, it can be harvested in June or July. If planted in summer, it must be harvested in July or August. If planted in autumn, it must wait until November or December.

Key points for high-yield soybean planting

1. Sowing and seedling raising

Prepare suitable soybean seeds. High-quality seeds can improve the survival rate after sowing. Prepare a loose and breathable seedbed. Moisten the seedbed before sowing, sow the treated seeds, cover the seeds with a thin soil, water to maintain good humidity, promote the germination of soybean seedlings, and transplant them when the seedlings grow to 4-5 cm.

2. Transplanting

Soybeans have strong adaptability and are not very demanding on soil quality. They are suitable for growing in many soil types. Choose the soil for planting, prepare the land and deep plow in advance, sprinkle medicine to treat the soil in advance, sprinkle an appropriate amount of farmyard manure as base fertilizer, transplant the soybeans into the soil, and maintain a good spacing, with each plant 30-50 cm apart.

3. Field management

After planting the soybean seedlings, they should be watered, thinned out and replanted a week later, and the seedlings that are not growing well should be pulled out to fill the soybean seedlings. After that, the soil should be cultivated and weeded every week or so. The growth of soybeans requires certain nutrients and needs to be fertilized reasonably. Apply base fertilizer during planting and fertilize again when the soybeans bloom and form pods to ensure a good supply of nutrients.
