From planting to the germination stage, the underground stems of yam grow relatively slowly and have a small demand for fertilizer, so this stage is not suitable for large amounts of topdressing. However, you can apply an appropriate amount of bacterial fertilizer to prevent and control pests.

When the plant buds, the underground stems gradually grow rapidly and enter a period of swelling and weight gain. At this stage, the amount of fertilizer needs to be increased. Each acre of land requires about 3,000 kilograms of organic fertilizer and about 50 kilograms of compound fertilizer.
