Lavender Flowering Treatment

1. Pruning

Lavender needs to be pruned after it blooms, usually about 1/3 of it. Try not to cut its woody part to avoid affecting its growth.

In summer, the number of lavender flowers will decrease. You can put it in a cool environment and cut off the poorly growing leaves to reduce nutrient consumption.

2. Moisture

Lavender needs a dry and ventilated environment after blooming, so the amount of watering should be controlled after the flowering period. It needs to be determined according to the dryness and wetness of the soil. It is best to water it when it is completely dry.

How to grow lavender

The flowering period of lavender is from summer to autumn, generally between May and October. Its peak flowering period is around June to July. Its flowering period lasts for six months and it blooms once a year. Pay attention to ventilation during the flowering period.

1. Watering

Don't water lavender too much. Before watering, you can check the dryness of the soil. If the soil surface is slightly dry, you can water it. Also avoid direct sunlight. Don't splash water on the leaves when watering, otherwise it will easily cause rot.

2. Light and temperature

Lavender needs proper shade when the light is strong in the summer, and the indoor ventilation should be improved. It is best to receive full-day light when the temperature is low in the winter. Its growth temperature is between 15-25℃, and it will only bloom at this temperature.
