When does Phalaenopsis bloom?

1. Flowering time

It will not bloom in the early stage of cultivation. It usually takes three years from the seedling to bloom. If you want to see the flowering scene earlier, you can buy plants that have been cultivated for a period of time. In this way, it will not take so long to bloom and you can enjoy the flowering scene. Its flowers usually bloom around the Spring Festival, which is from February to March. The flowering period is very long and can be viewed for up to 2-3 months.

Theoretically, it has two flowering periods. After the first flowering, the flowers are about to wither. You can cut the flowers off in time to reduce nutrient consumption, and then cut off a few sections at the base of the flower stem. Pay attention to the maintenance conditions and wait for 2-3 months to bloom again. However, those grown at home can generally only bloom once.

2. How to promote secondary flowering

It blooms because of the low temperature environment, so if you want the second flowering period to come, temperature control is very important. You must ensure that the temperature is maintained at 20℃ for 2 months. The temperature at night should be even lower, dropping below 18℃, so as to encourage the flowers to form buds and then bloom.
