1. Temperature

The minimum temperature for root growth is 13-16℃, which is the highest requirement among melon vegetables. The suitable temperature for pollination and fruiting is around 25℃. Wax gourd is a short-day crop. Low temperature is conducive to the differentiation of flower buds, but it requires sufficient light throughout the development period. If it encounters rainy and low-temperature weather during the fruiting period, the flowers will fall, the melons will rot and rot. When the leaf area of ​​​​the wax gourd becomes larger, a lot of water will be needed, but too high or too low air humidity is not conducive to pollination, fruit setting and fruit development.
