Is it better to grow jasmine in a large or small pot? What kind of pot is suitable?

Jasmine is a kind of flower with a very fragrant smell. As a common potted ornamental plant, its maintenance is actually very simple, as long as the temperature, water, sunlight, etc. are well controlled. Jasmine is easy to bloom, and this flower is not very cold-resistant, so it is necessary to keep warm, and the minimum temperature cannot be below three degrees.

Choosing a flowerpot for jasmine

When caring for jasmine, the specific size of the root plant is needed to decide whether to use a small or large pot. Generally, jasmine in the seedling stage can be cared for in a small pot, while old jasmine needs to be cared for in a large pot .

Jasmine is more suitable for cultivation in shallow pots because it is a plant that is afraid of waterlogging. Compared with deep pots, shallow pots make it easier to control the dryness and wetness of the soil. If jasmine is not properly maintained in deep pots, waterlogging and root rot will occur, so it is easier to maintain jasmine in shallow pots.

Jasmine repotting time

Jasmine flowers are usually repotted once a year. The specific time for repotting is not fixed. Usually, you can repot as long as the environment is suitable, but the best time to repot is around March or April in spring. When repotting, you can change to a larger pot. When repotting, be careful not to trim the roots to avoid affecting nutrient absorption.

How to repot jasmine

To repot jasmine, first gently knock or tap the pot a few times, or use a small shovel to rotate along the edge of the pot, then remove the pot and clean the soil.

After removing the jasmine from the pot, the old and bad roots need to be trimmed before replanting. After planting, water it once more and then place it in a cool place for maintenance.
