How to make a single succulent mage grow multiple heads (how to make a mage grow multiple heads)

It takes time for a mage to develop a multi-headed bouquet

The Master is a thin-leaf succulent. Unlike ordinary rosette-type succulents, it cannot be propagated by leaf cuttings. It is generally propagated by beheading or branch cuttings. Therefore, in the seedling stage, most of them are single seedlings or even rootless seedlings.

Fortunately, most of the Master Plants grow relatively fast and are easy to branch and grow side buds. Therefore, as time goes by, the branches will become thicker and thicker, slowly forming a multi-headed bouquet.

Plants like Halloween, Purple Cashmere, Copper Kettle, Sun Umbrella, and Brilliant are all suitable for growing bouquets . After growing the bouquets, you can pair them with an old coarse pottery pot, which will be the most beautiful scenery for the balcony and courtyard!

The lack of branching in the Mage is due to the effects of leggy growth and apical dominance.

It is an ideal state for the hollyhock to slowly branch out and grow into a bouquet over time. However, some hollies will only grow taller without branching, forming a "one-of-a-kind" scene.

This is mainly due to the lack of sunlight for a long time and excessive watering, which leads to excessive growth. The branches grow too fast and the apical dominance is too strong, making it difficult to form branches, and it slowly becomes a "single-headed water pile."

In contrast, single-headed water piles often have branches that are green or even pink in color. Not only are the branches brittle, but they are also uneven in thickness .

Such a plant not only has loose and unsightly leaf discs, but also has difficulty surviving the summer because of its high water content in the branches and insufficient woodiness. During the high temperature period in summer, the probability of black rot and waterlogging of the branches will be significantly higher than that of old stumps with highly woody branches.

Slow down the growth rate of the mage to develop a multi-headed bouquet

Although the plant is not picky about soil and can be grown in ordinary garden soil and sandy loam, a balanced granular soil is beneficial for preventing waterlogging, root rot, and controlling shape and coloring.

Don't force the growth of seedlings! In the magic circle, there is such a saying: "First, use a lot of fertilizer and water to make the pile grow, and then control the growth later."

In fact, some greenhouses do this, and they can grow large old piles in a short period of time, but they are professionals after all, with certain experience, so it is not necessary for personal home potted plants.

It is possible that the tree will become a "water pile" with branches of uneven thickness. It is better to let time accumulate and settle as it pleases. The naturally formed old pile will look better!

The main growing season of the plant is in spring, autumn and early winter. It goes dormant for a short time during the high temperature period in summer and cannot tolerate severe cold in winter. Maintaining sufficient light, controlling humidity and taking advantage of the large temperature difference between morning and evening during the growing season can make the plant compact and the leaves more beautiful.

The plant can be propagated by beheading or cuttings. For the plant that is obviously growing too tall or has excessive apical dominance, it can be beheaded or topped at an appropriate time. After breaking the apical dominance, there is a certain probability that it will quickly sprout and become a cluster or a bouquet of flowers.

Moreover, the leaf disks or branches after beheading can be used for cuttings, which really kills two birds with one stone.

Plants all have a certain tendency to tend to light. You can rotate the flowerpot in accordance with their growth to allow the branches to grow as evenly as possible. The bouquet you grow will be like a standard flower ball with a more beautiful shape .
