Cultivation methods and precautions of Camellia crassifolia

Kremer Camellia is a relatively easy-to-grow variety. It is introduced by many countries because of its strong adaptability. It has good cold and drought resistance, does not have high requirements for the growing environment, and grows very fast. It is the fastest growing of all camellia varieties and is suitable for people who have no planting experience.

How to grow Camellia crassifolia

1. Soil

Camellia krimi needs soil with a relatively rich humus content as a growing medium, and this soil is preferably slightly acidic. Generally speaking, you can choose leaf mold, garden soil, river sand, etc., and then add a little diluted ferrous sulfate solution to meet the requirements.

2. Temperature

When growing Camellia rubra, the ambient temperature needs to be controlled between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius, otherwise it will affect the normal growth of Camellia rubra. In winter, you need to take measures to keep it warm, otherwise it is likely to be frozen to death.

3. Lighting

Camellia crema is a plant that prefers sunlight, so it is best to keep it in a bright place. However, when the light is too strong, shade measures should be taken to avoid strong light burning the leaves.

Matters Needing Attention in the Care of Camellia

1. Do a good job of watering management

Camellia rubrum is a plant that is not tolerant to waterlogging, so when watering it daily, you should adopt the principle of watering it when the soil is dry and water it when the soil is wet. Wait until the soil becomes dry and white, then water it to keep it moist.

2. Do a good job in fertilizer management

Before the flowering period of Camellia rubra, it needs to apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers 1 to 2 times to supplement nutrition. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to applying less fertilizer in winter to avoid damage to the root system caused by fertilizer.
