Hainan Dracaena is not particularly easy to grow. It has a certain degree of drought resistance and is not tolerant to waterlogging, but it is also not tolerant to low temperatures. When the growth temperature is lower than 15 degrees, the Hainan Dracaena will enter a dormant period. The temperature for Hainan Dracaena to overwinter cannot be lower than 5 degrees.

1. Temperature

The dragon blood tree has a very tenacious growth state and strong vitality. As long as the temperature is not lower than 0 degrees, it will not be frozen to death. If the temperature is lower than 5 degrees, its leaves will turn yellow.

2. Lighting

The dragon blood tree has a relatively high demand for light, but it cannot withstand direct exposure to the summer sun. Try to place it in a location with sufficient diffuse light. In winter, it can receive full sunlight.

3. Watering

Dracaena is drought-resistant and has strong vitality. It has a relatively large demand for water and should be watered according to the principle of watering when the soil is dry and watering when the soil is wet.

When caring for the Hainan Dracaena, you should pay attention to repotting. You can repot it every 1-2 years. Insufficient nutrients will not be conducive to its growth. The soil for planting Dracaena can be prepared with peat soil, leaf mold, river sand, vermiculite and perlite.
