Wheat planting time

The planting time of wheat in the north and south is different. The middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River are sown in October and November, while the northern regions are mostly planted during the Cold Dew solar term. The specific time depends on local climatic conditions.

Wheat harvest time

The wheat harvest time is from March to July, which is usually when the wheat is fully ripe. If you want to prevent the grains from falling, it is recommended to harvest before 11 am or after 4 pm.

1. Land preparation and fertilization

Before planting wheat, you need to first select a good plot of land, then deep plow the soil, and add an appropriate amount of decomposed organic fertilizer and potassium sulfate fertilizer to it, so as to increase the fertility of the soil.

2. Seed selection and sowing

There are many varieties of wheat nowadays. When planting, it is recommended to choose those with excellent quality, high resistance and not easily infected by pests and diseases, such as Gushenmai 19, Shannong 28, etc.

3. Sowing

It is recommended to sow wheat by broadcasting. After sowing, cover it with a layer of fine soil to promote wheat germination. In the later stage, you can do inter-row cultivation and weeding.
