Coriander planting methods and precautions

Coriander planting methods and precautions

Coriander needs sufficient nutrients during its growth process. When growing coriander, it is necessary to apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer or decomposed farmyard manure once a month during the peak growth season of the plant. When fertilizing coriander, it is necessary to dig trenches near the plants and then apply fertilizer into the trenches.

Coriander growth habits

Coriander is suitable for growing in loose, breathable soil rich in organic matter. When growing coriander, you need to first plow and fine the soil to make it softer, and then apply enough base fertilizer to the soil. You can choose well-rotted compost to provide coriander with the nutrients it needs for growth.

Coriander Planting Methods

1. Temperature

Coriander is suitable for growing at a temperature of 19 degrees. If the temperature exceeds 21 degrees, coriander will grow slowly. The soil for planting coriander should have a strong ability to retain water and fertilizer.

2. Planting

Before sowing coriander, you need to pry open the hard shell on the outside of the coriander seeds, and then sow the seeds directly. You can also use the seed soaking method to germinate.

Coriander cultivation precautions

1. Weeding

When the coriander grows to 10 cm, it is necessary to weed and loosen the soil, which will help increase the air permeability of the soil and make the root system of the coriander more developed, so that the leaves will grow more vigorously.

2. Land disinfection

Be sure to disinfect the land before sowing coriander. After planting, it should be sprayed basically every 10 days until half a month before harvest. Stop spraying. Spreading sufficient fertilizer can also improve disease resistance.
