Where does seaweed grow?

Nori belongs to the genus Nori of the family Porphyridaceae. The algae is membranous in shape and mostly purple or brown-green in color. Nori consists of three parts: the disc-shaped holdfast, the petiole and the leaves. The specific length varies depending on the species. It contains a large amount of chlorophyll and carotene, lutein, phycoerythrin, phycocyanin and other pigments.

Where does laver grow?

Nori grows on rocks. Nori generally likes to grow in the intertidal area or in sea areas with strong winds and waves. At the same time, it also likes places with sufficient sunlight and abundant salt. Therefore, nori is very nutritious, rich in protein, vitamins and various minerals, and has prospects in the fields of food and medicine.

The main producing areas of laver are Japan, South Korea, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Guangdong and other places in my country. Moreover, laver has a strong adaptability and is distributed in small quantities in temperate, frigid and tropical regions.
