How to water Begonia and how often to water it

How to water Begonia and how often to water it

1. Watering time

Watering it can be done at any time of the day. However, in the hot summer, you should choose to water in the morning and evening, and avoid watering at noon when the sun is strong and the temperature is high. Because after watering, the high temperature will make the potting soil hot, and the roots of the plants will be stimulated, affecting their growth. In winter, on the contrary, you need to water it at noon, otherwise the low temperature will cause frostbite.

2. Watering method

When watering it, do not water it too much and do not pour water on the leaves and flowers. It is best to water the soil in the pot and let the water flow into the soil along the edge of the pot. If water splashes onto the flowers and leaves and the moisture cannot evaporate, they will easily rot. Water thoroughly each time and avoid excess water accumulation in the potting soil.

3. Watering frequency

The correct way to water is to water according to the climate. There is no need to water when the soil is still slightly moist. Do not set a fixed watering interval. You should always pay attention to the dryness of the soil in the pot. In spring and autumn, when the climate is stable, you can water it once a week. In other seasons, wait until the soil is completely dry before watering.
