How to care for Phalaenopsis in winter

1. Insulation

The temperature is very low after winter, so it is necessary to pay attention to insulation, move it indoors as soon as possible, and ensure the temperature is above 15℃. The room temperature should not be below 10℃ as much as possible, otherwise it will hinder its wintering.

2. Lighting

The light in winter is not very strong, but rather weak, so it should receive sufficient sunlight. It is best to place it on the south balcony. It will help it to get sunlight every day so that it can survive the winter smoothly. In addition, the flower pot should be rotated appropriately so that the plant can fully see the sunlight.

3. Water

You should water it less to prevent water accumulation in the potting soil. If the room temperature is relatively low, you should water it even less. However, each time you water, you must water it thoroughly, and the soil should not be allowed to become too dry, let alone become compacted.

4. Ventilation

If you keep your pet in a heated or air-conditioned room, you should open the windows more often at noon to allow better air circulation. If it is warmer outside, you can also move it outside when it is sunny.

5. Pruning

If warming measures are not taken in time after winter, the plants may be frostbitten. After being frostbitten, if its root system is not frozen, the frozen leaves should be cut off in time. Proper pruning can allow the plant to regrow.
