How to grow Anthurium in winter

How to grow Anthurium in winter

1. Temperature

For the cold winter, the most important thing is temperature regulation. Anthurium is very afraid of cold and it may be frostbitten as long as the temperature drops. The temperature during the winter should be around 15 degrees. If it is too low, it will be very unfavorable for it to survive the winter. It is best to raise the temperature in time, or you can protect yourself from the cold by covering it with plastic or using heating.

2. Humidity

Even in the cold winter, it is necessary to pay attention to the breeding humidity. Usually the breeding humidity is best at around 50%. Do not water too frequently, and do not water too much. At night, be careful not to have water droplets on the leaves of the plants, as this can easily cause frost damage in low temperature environments.

3. Lighting

Because it is a tropical plant, it must be exposed to sunlight appropriately during its growth process. Generally, the light in winter is not very strong, so you can put it directly in a sunny place for maintenance, but not in a windy place. Once the plant is exposed to direct cold wind, its leaves may show adverse performance.

4. Ventilation

Under normal circumstances, the indoor temperature in winter is relatively warm, but also relatively stuffy. Such an environment is actually not conducive to its wintering. When caring for it, you should open the windows appropriately when the weather is warm so that it can grow better in a more ventilated environment.
