How to grow Huayuejin

How to grow Huayuejin

1. Breeding environment

1. Light: Huayuejin has particularly high requirements for light, and it must be provided with good light during the growing period. It grows most vigorously from April to November, and it is fine to provide it with full sunlight during this period.

2. Watering: It is afraid of waterlogging, so water should not accumulate at any time. During the growing season, if you observe that the soil is dry, you should replenish it in time, but don't overdo it. In winter, the amount of watering needs to be controlled.

3. Fertilization: Huayuejin has a great demand for fertilizer. When it grows fast, it needs to be fertilized once a week. You can use liquid fertilizer or compound fertilizer.

4. Temperature: The plant likes warmth and can be grown in the range of 20 to 25 degrees. Generally speaking, the indoor breeding temperature is more suitable.

2. Breeding Methods

Huayuejin is mainly propagated by leaf cuttings. Because its leaves are relatively thick, the success rate of leaf cuttings will be higher. When choosing leaves, choose the fullest and healthiest leaves, and use a substrate with better air permeability. After cutting the leaves, wait until the wound is dry before planting. After insertion, ensure that the humidity and temperature are suitable and it will take root soon.

3. Change the pot regularly

When you start planting, you need to choose good quality soil. In addition, you also need to pay attention to the subsequent repotting. Generally speaking, it is enough to change it once every two years. If the soil is really unsuitable, you can change it once a year. It can be done in spring or autumn. When repotting, be careful not to damage the roots.
