Single leaf green radish propagation method

Single leaf green radish propagation method

1. Water plug

1. There are no requirements for the container, as long as it is transparent and the changes in the root system can be observed. The mouth of the bottle should not be too large to prevent water from evaporating too quickly.

2. Cut off plants that are growing well, and select strong stems with more than 3 nodes each. It does not matter if only a single leaf is left, as it can reduce water evaporation.

3. Insert the base into clean water. Change the water frequently at the beginning. In the later stage, you can change it 1-2 times a week. It will take about half a month for new roots to sprout. Then you can continue hydroponics or plant it in the soil.

2. Soil Insertion

1. In spring, summer and autumn, cut branches about 15 cm long to ensure that there are no diseases or pests.

2. The most important thing about the culture medium is to ensure air permeability and drainage. Insert the branches into it, 3-5 branches in each flowerpot.

3. After inserting, place it in a semi-shaded place and maintain a temperature range of 25°C. It will take root in about three weeks.

3. Leaf cuttings

1. The temperature should be kept above 20℃, which is suitable for growth and very helpful for later development.

2. In order to increase the chance of survival, it is best to choose the strong leaves in the upper part, cut them off from the petiole with a sharp thin blade, then wash them in clean water, and place them in a cool place for several hours.

3. When the cut surface is slightly dry, insert the base of the leaf into clean water to a depth of about 1.5 cm. If the plant is inserted too shallowly and the water level becomes low and is not replenished in time, the leaves will shrink. If you insert it too deep, the petiole will rot.
