What kind of fertilizer does asparagus fern like? What kind of organic fertilizer can be used (homemade)

1. Cake Fertilizer

When fertilizing asparagus fern, you can apply cake fertilizer, which is the residue left after oil extraction. After collection, it can be used directly to make the plant stems thicker and grow more vigorously. When applying fertilizer, pay attention to the amount, not too much or too often. Usually it only needs to be applied once every ten days or so to avoid burning the roots.

2. Decomposed rice water

You can collect the water from washing rice, expose it to the sun for fermentation, and then add an appropriate amount of clean water after it is completely fermented. It can also be used as fertilizer, which is beneficial to the growth of asparagus fern. But please note that this cannot replace watering and should not be applied too frequently to avoid affecting growth.

3. Expired yogurt

Expired yogurt can also be used as raw material when making fertilizer. After digging it out, put it into a plastic bottle for fermentation, which will take about ten days. After fermentation, add 20 times the amount of clean water to dilute it, and then water the plants to make them grow more vigorously. Because yogurt contains a lot of fungi, it is rich in nitrogen after fermentation, which is conducive to growth.

IV. Precautions

When fertilizing it, it is best to apply diluted fertilizer solution. Pay attention to the ratio, about 1:15 is enough. Do not apply too much fertilizer, otherwise it will easily burn the roots. When applying, you can sprinkle the fertilizer on the roots or leaves, and they will be absorbed.
