If you grow Clivia in February and follow these 4 steps, the leaves will become thick and full of vitality!

1. Remove from the basin

The step of removing the pot from the plant is the most critical point in the entire repotting process. If the removal from the pot is not done properly, the root system of the Clivia will be damaged. If this happens, it will be difficult for us to deal with it in the future. Therefore, in addition to being careful and cautious when removing the plant from the pot, the roots of the plant must also be kept dry. This will minimize damage to the plant's roots and allow the plant to better adapt to the new environment.

(ii) Pruning

After removing the Clivia from the pot, you can trim its roots. This is to cut off the rotten and bad roots to prevent them from affecting the plant, leaving healthy and strong roots. This will allow the plant to absorb nutrients in a concentrated manner and promote its growth and planting in the newly repotted environment. After pruning, you can soak it in diluted disinfectant for a while to kill bacteria.

(III) Putting the pot on the basin

Before potting, you need to prepare more nutritious and loose soil for the Clivia so that it can grow better. Friends who have the conditions can choose the special soil for Clivia, or they can mix it themselves. Be careful to handle it with care when planting, and gently compact it when covering the soil to make the roots of the plant and the soil closer, thereby promoting plant growth.

(IV) Maintenance

Plants that have just been potted should grow in a cool place for a few days. When you find that the condition of the plants has improved, you can expose them to the sun appropriately to supplement nutrients. Only by proceeding step by step can Clivia grow better!
