How to grow dianthus

How to grow dianthus

1. Daily maintenance methods

1. Sunlight: When caring for dianthus, there must be good light. Reasonable sunlight will help it grow better. However, it cannot be exposed to strong sunlight, so it needs to be shaded in the summer and it is best to provide diffuse light.

2. Temperature: The temperature should be controlled within an appropriate range during maintenance, and the best temperature is around 15-20℃. Attention should be paid in winter and summer, the minimum temperature should be maintained at around 12℃, and the temperature should be lowered in summer.

3. Nutrients: It likes fertilizer. A certain amount of base fertilizer should be applied during cultivation, and appropriate topdressing should be applied during the growth stage. Under normal circumstances, the interval between each fertilization is once every 10 days, and the fertilizer concentration should be low.

4. Pruning: Dianthus can be said to be very resistant to pruning. During its growing period, it should be properly pinched and some axillary buds should also be pruned off. When a plant is attacked by pests and diseases, the diseased branches and leaves should be cut off immediately.

2. Pests and diseases

There are not many pests that harm the growth of dianthus, but diseases often occur, so the plants should be checked in a timely manner. If there is a disease, you should first cut off the diseased branches and then spray appropriate pesticides.
