If the degree of dry brown is deeper, do not easily judge whether it is dead or not. You can observe the root system. If the degree of rot is not serious and there is still vitality, it proves that it can survive. If the inside is severely rotten and has dried out, it means it is dead.

This kind of root rot is usually caused by over-watering, or insufficient watering, which makes it difficult for the roots to breathe and causes rot.
